To create a more efficient check in process at the polls, Martin County has replaced paper precinct registers with electric poll books.  EViDs (electronic voter identification  system) are in every polling location and early voting site.

1.     A Voter will present signed, photo identification which can either be swiped or their information can be manually entered into the system.

2.     EViDs verify the voter’s eligibility by comparing the information with the voter registration database.

3.     Once verified, the voter will sign the signature pad and be issued a voter pass indicating their specific ballot style.

4.     Voter will then take the pass to the ballot distribution table to receive their ballot.
