Vote by Mail Ballots Return Postage $0.65

STUART, FL – The Martin County Elections Center, has mailed over 30,000 Vote By Mail ballots for the November 6th Presidential Election.


The ballot is two pages long, containing 11 state constitutional amendments, requiring .65 cents postage for the return of the ballot.


If a voter returned a voted ballot without the required postage, the Elections Center pays the difference in postage through an established account with the post office.


Mail ballots are still available to all voters by calling the Elections Center at 772-288-5637, or by visiting the website at and filling out a request form. 


The deadline to request a Vote by Mail Ballot to be mailed is, Wednesday, October 31st. According to Florida law mail ballots cannot be forwarded according to Florida Statutes. 


Remember to sign and seal your return envelope and affix the .65 cents return postage.  Voted ballots are required to be returned to the Elections Center by 7 p.m. Election Day, November 6, 2012.


Voters also have the option of hand delivering voted ballot, to the Elections Center, located at 135 S.E. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
