Avoid Long Lines...Vote by Mail

STUART, FL – Martin County Supervisor of Elections, Vicki Davis, is encouraging all voters to avoid the long lines on Election Day and Vote By Mail. Voting by mail is an option for every registered voter upon request for the November 6th Presidential Election.


The general election ballot will be two pages long, due to 11state constitutional amendments.


Mail ballots are available by calling the Elections Center at 772-288-5637, or by visiting the website at and filling out a request form. 


The deadline to request a Vote by Mail Ballot to be mailed is, Wednesday, October 31st. Mail ballots cannot be forwarded according to Florida Statutes. 


Once you have voted your ballot make sure it is returned to the Elections Center by 7 p.m. Election Day, November 6, 2012. Remember to sign and seal your return envelope and affix the required .45 cents return postage.
