Adopted Precinct Earn $1,800.00

The Stuart Sunrise Rotary Club successfully raised a grand total $1,800.00 by adopting one of Martin County’s Palm City polling precincts during the 2010 elections and working as poll workers.

The Stuart Rotary Club recruited volunteers from their organization, and the Supervisor of Elections office trained them to work the polls for the Primary and General Elections.

The Adopt a Precinct program is sponsored by the Supervisor of Elections, where non-profit organization are able to earn unrestricted funds, by working as poll workers and donating their pay back to their organization.

“We were very excited to receive such a great response from the Stuart Rotary and their willingness to work the polls, serve the community, and donate their funds back to their organizations during the 2010 elections,” said Vicki Davis, Martin County Supervisor of Elections.
