Elections Supervisor and Character Counts Partner in Voter Status Campaign

Stuart, FL- Vicki Davis, Martin County Supervisor of Elections announced her partnership with Character Counts! A United Way of Martin County program, to encourage local citizens to “Check Their Voter Status” before the August 14th Primary Election.

“I am pleased that Character Counts! and the Elections Center have the opportunity to work together to increase voter awareness through our “Check Your Voter Status” campaign, said Davis.”

The Character Counts! program works to promote good character throughout Martin County with its six pillars of charter; Trustworthiness, Respect, Citizenship, Fairness, Caring, and  Responsibility.

The Elections Center will use the pillar of “Responsibility” to prompt the message to voters, that it’s their Responsibility to “Check Their Voter Status.” The message will be displayed on signs located at Kanner/Monterey and High Meadows/Martin Downs Blvd.

The goal of this campaign is to encourage voters to take a proactive role to verifying their address, name, political party, and signature are current and up to date with the Elections Center.

Monday, July 16th is the last day a voter can register to vote or make changes to their political party for the August 14th Primary Election.

Voters can visit the Elections Center website at MartinVotes.com and click “Access Your Voter Information” under the What’s New tab. The Access Your Voter Information tab will allow registered voters to view the following: Election Day polling location, early voting dates, request a vote by mail ballot and their sample ballot.
