MEETING NOTICE OF MARTIN COUNTY CANVASSSING BOARD
TO
AUDIT VOTING EQUIPMENT
The
Martin County Canvassing Board will meet at 5 p.m. on Thursday,
March 15, 2018, for the purpose of conducting a voting system audit as required by
Florida Statutes. The audit shall consist
of a public manual tally of the votes cast from the March 13, 2018 Village of
Indiantown Council Election. This meeting will
be held at the Supervisor of Elections office located at 135 SE Martin Luther King,
Jr. Boulevard, Stuart. The Canvassing
Board will meet until the audit has been concluded.
In
accordance with the Sunshine Law of Florida, this meeting will be open to the public.
Section
286.0105, Florida Statutes, states if a person decides to appeal any decision by a
board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or
hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose,
he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which
record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
